Your new job

In preparation for the launch of our new resource school with a focus on ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) for grades 1–6 in Månsarp, we are seeking two special education teachers with different specializations. Together with the principal, deputy principal, and other staff, you will help start up and develop a new, resource-rich, and successful operation.

At our new resource school, we aim to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every student can develop according to their individual needs and conditions. By promoting a positive learning environment and providing students with the tools they need to thrive and grow, we work to prepare them for the future. At a resource school, all staff collaborate closely, regardless of profession, in a highly flexible and staff-intensive operation. A hallmark of our work is a non-hierarchical, situation-based approach where everyone plans and works together.

As a special education teacher, you will be part of the school's EHT (Educational Health Team) and hold an important responsibility for the pedagogical learning environment, including developing structures and common working methods for full-day learning. You will work in a health-promoting, preventive, and remedial manner according to the assignment description, and through interdisciplinary collaboration in the EHT, you will contribute to supporting student development and creating accessible learning environments.

Examples of tasks in the special education teacher role:

  • Be responsible for the school's systematic work with screening, analysis, interventions, and follow-up.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate special education based on your specialization at both group and individual levels.
  • Provide advice and support to school staff and guardians as an expert in your field of specialization.
  • Conduct investigations of a student's need for special support on behalf of the principal and manage action plans.
  • Document in the journal system and participate in professional networks.

As a special education teacher with us, you have great opportunities to shape and influence the work based on your competence and experience. Your role as a special education teacher at our resource school is not only an exciting challenge but also an opportunity to make a real difference for our students and their education in Jönköping.

The school will become part of the Nordskogen school district and will be led by the principal and deputy principal in close collaboration.
